Indigenous Public Health Course Application


    Welcome to the Indigenous Public Health course. This course delves into key public health topics impacting Indigenous communities, such as youth health, maternal health, caregiving, and cancer. It introduces the concept of Indigenous systems alignment as an emerging practice in public health, and examines how sovereignty and self-determination play crucial roles in data governance. Additionally, the course covers the process of developing programs that address community needs and utilize local assets to improve health outcomes. This course is available fully online, with classes meeting every Friday over Zoom, and the last class being offered in hybrid mode, starting October 25, 2024.
